JOB TITLE: Manager, Regulatory Affairs
DEPARTMENT: Global Product Safety, Efficacy & Regulatory Affairs / Technical Services
REPORTS TO: Director, Regulatory Affairs

OVERVIEW:
Management position responsible for global regulatory support, scoping, advisement and driving solutions for the successful launch and lifecycle of compliant products, focusing on oversight and strategic planning of government product submissions, end-to-end regulatory oversight and being a key advisor to internal and external partners in support of product commercialization covering multiple brands across several product categories globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Submission and Reporting Management:
- Responsible for continuous process/system improvement in support of submission reporting.
- Master the application of country specific product submissions/reporting regulations and regional end-to-end product regulatory compliance requirements. Ensure the timely and accurate creation, assembly, submission and tracking of government product submissions, listings and/or notifications.
- Oversight and management of critical issues in support of regional partners and brand support.
- Accountable to ensure product information files and/ or submissions are timely and accurate.
- Provide strategic direction, advisement and decision making on submission, registration, listings and/or notifications.
Product Compliance Management:
- Accountable for supporting product compliance globally.
- Understand and master the application of global labeling, ingredient and formulation regulations. Educate applicable teams and cross functional partners accordingly.
- Oversight and management of critical issues in support of regional partners and brand support.
Region/Product Research/Scoping and Evaluation Management:
- Perform in-depth research, new technology assessment, industry benchmarking and competitive product analysis.
- Determine regional feasibility of product development and new market entry, utilizing and managing local partners, consultants and direct assessment of regulations.
Emerging Issues Mgmt. / External Monitoring:
- Identify enforcement priorities and develops action plans as needed.
- Provide mentoring, training and team oversight for external monitoring and issues resolution.
Government Agency and Trade Association Management:
- Participate in trade association actives and provides direction to team members on areas of trade association engagement consistent with the overall departmental strategy.
- Key interaction with government agencies in support of critical operational inquiries and /or compliance issues.
Talent Management:
- Manage team of full time direct reports and contractors as needed.
- Manage the hiring of new team members and progressive discipline if needed.
- Actively drive to develop and retain high performers within the Regulatory Team.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree, BS/BA in related field.
- 7-10 years related experience.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly with respect to responding to customer needs.
- Team player who is able to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges, and ability to influence the business at all levels.
- Ability to build and foster strong trusted adviser relationships with internal and external partners.
